Marsuret San Boldo Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut NV (750 ml) on Sale

Description
Founded in the 1936 by Agostino Marsura, Marsuret is located in in Val de Cune in Guia di Valdobbiadene in Veneto, Italy. Agostino was joined by his younger brother Giovanni and today, their sons Valter and Ermes manage the estate. The 111 acres of estate vineyards are planted on steep hills in Cartizze, Col San Martino, Guia, Premaor, Rolle, Zuel and Le Serre to clay and calcareous soils. The Glera is hand-picked and quickly transferred to the winery where it is gently crushed, pressed and clarified. To prevent spontaneous fermentation as well as sulfides, the must is kept at cold temperatures. The wine ferments a second time in pressurized steel tanks this method of producing sparkling wine is referred to as the Charmat method.
Wine maker notes
The fresh mountain air from the San Boldo pass comes down to our vineyards and slows down the ripening process. This gives the grapes an acerbic quality that makes them ideal for producing Brut. The bouquet is delicate and lightly aromatic with an elegant complexity reminiscent of golden apples. With hints of wild flowers, the flavour is intense, dry and fresh. This wine has a fine and persistent perlage.
